Darth's (our Holy Spirit) message to the Witnesses

The Mormons and Jehovahs Witnesses are two "puzzling" Christian religions.

Some solid thinkers are highly critical of Jehovahs Witnesses, consider this extract:

"Have you ever been at home, heard the knock on the door, and found a pair of nice looking people wanting to give you a free magazine?  Where the magazine is titled Awake! or Watchtower?  I know I have.  These people are Jehovah’s Witnesses, and the message they have to share is a dangerous perversion of Christianity.  Have you passed a Kingdom Hall building and wondered what occurred inside?  I have.  Let’s take a look at a brief overview of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.  At the bottom of this page, you will find a link to a page where we will cover some JW beliefs and how they compare to Christianity.  After a careful review, perhaps you will feel the burden to pray for these decent but disillusioned people.  Perhaps next time they come knocking at your door, you will have a message for them."

Not complimentary, is it?

Another criticism:

"In a manner similar to Mormonism, JW’s believe that their organization is the only true Christian organization.  They believe that the truths of scripture were lost through a great apostasy centuries ago until God used Charles Russell to restore the gospel.  JW shares some doctrinal beliefs with Christianity, but most of their beliefs either completely contradict, or at least pervert Biblical truths."

Again, not
very complimentary, is it?

In the handbook of living religions, a reference to
Jehovahs Witnesses read like this: "some movements have produced "new revelations" to supplement the Christian scriptures... mandatory interpretation of the scriptures, like those characteristic of Jehovahs Witnesses."

The Witnesses have revamped the Bible, called it a New World Translation of Holy Scriptures, and have chaged passages to suit. For example, they will insist Jesus died on a "stake" not a "cross". Theologically, perhaps a sound argument, but from a historians point of view it is bizarre - history is well aware Romans crucified people on crosses (i.e. a long beam of wood, and a shorter nailed vertically about 2/3 up).

Sadly, the Witnesses seemed to have removed Christmas from their agenda as well as birthdays for children.

But there are about 6 million Witnesses around the world. That is six million people who may have a puzzling belief system compared to mainstream Christianity, but who still worship in the spirit God (whose name they insist is Jehovah because "God" is impersonal while to use a name is "more friendly").

For this reason, regardless of whether the Witnesses already enjoy a Life in the Spirit, the combined "Holy Ways" under the umbrella of the Natural Telepaths decided to assist Melanie to form a Jehovahs Witness Faith Path.
