It is high time the field of psychiatry put aside some ill conceived notions about the mystery of God. Are you a psychiatrist? Do you specialize in the Religious? Do you have a patient convinced they have experienced a mystical experience? This Tale of the Holy Spirit is designed for you, explaining simply and correctly about the main Life in the Spirit traditions, starting with the basics of Jewish Life in the Spirit. Other chapters expound various Christian and Islamic ways. Life in the Spirit is a mystical group telepathy experience. While of course there are specialist psychiatrists who do specialize in telepathy, and while the international medical encyclopedia explains that telepathy is an established medical phenomena, psychiatrists are still much in the dark as to how this works, how the brain adapts, or how to distinguish bona-fide telepathy from a delusion associated with a mental illness.

Chapter 2 - Birth of the Catholic Holy Spirit

In ordinary time a year had passed. In their Life in the Spirit, it seemed many more seasons had passed. Darth and Helen kept interacting regularly and together exploring, and enjoying, a number of key Jewish Life in the Spirit groups. These groups were fantastic and ingenious! A replica of ordinary life is what most have recreated in the spirit. Outings, adventures, special fun games, even for children parks, these were part of the virtual reality settings. What any had to do with God, this Darth was not clear on but this did not matter, he was enjoying being married in this Jewish tradition of Life in the Spirit. Equally important that most of the people he interacted with could tell, or sense, he was not a Jew, but this was not relevant to them because Helen was and she was Darth wife by their traditions. They accepted the man as one of his own. Sometimes the interactions would become more refined, and Darth began to touch what Helen knew as the Holy Ways. These maintained the most sacred Jewish mysteries of God. Those of the Noble Ways rarely liked to interact with the Holy Ways mainly because the rules or laws of interactions were far to strict - a person would need to be almost holy to cope with these. This was not the bulk of the Jews in the Noble Ways. They were traditional and decent men and women, and maintained a tradition of Life in the Spirit they knew of, but they were not Saints in that sense of the word.

The first "Saint" Darth came across was a celibate Roman Catholic Sister who became known among them as Lisa-1. Helen had set about trying to interact with the Holy Ways to get some assistance into how to interact with a Catholic Life in the Spirit. Helen was Darth's wife in the tradition, it was a loving relationship and rewarding, and as his wife she felt it only fair that her husband in the spirit, a Catholic in ordinary life and not a Jew, gets to know something about Roman Catholic Apostolic Life in the Spirit. Helen's efforts paid off and during one of their interactions a shift took place. A different style of virtual reality formed. Both Helen and Darth knew immediately this was not a Jewish interaction - such had a distinct flavor to how the virtual reality, called settings, formed.

The two imagined walking along a path. Helen pressed close to her husband. Both looking about, trying to focus, on this setting. The path winding a touch, tall shrubs on one side and open green area on the left and the Sun in the distance. They came upon a long seat and a woman, an attractive woman, clearly a Catholic Sister she in a Missionaries of Charity attire, was sitting on the seat.

"Hello." Helen sat down, flowed sweetly. Helen imagined wearing a white shirt and a long dark blue pleated skirt.

"I have." The Sister replied using hand signals then began to use a word flow. "Sufficient understanding, to use your Jewish jargon, to know the style and cut of your shirt, and your long pleated skirt, means you are part of the Jewish Law Group in the Spirit. What can I do for you?"

"Well." Helen asked Darth to sit down. "This man is a Catholic." Helen pointed to Darth the man. "However, he is married to me." She pointed to herself. "In the Jewish tradition. I wanted him to appreciate what a Catholic Life in the Spirit is like. That's all really, true."

The Sister did not say anything, her image seemed to freeze, become motionless. Darth and Helen also imagined being still in this imaginary setting. Then an image of ordinary life, a situation in Australia. A group of police were stopping motorists along a road for random breath testing. Darth, as a man, in a silver car, was one of the cars randomly selected so he pulled to the side. A policeman came over and asked him to breathe into an apparatus.

"What can I do for you my lord?" Came a flow not from the mouth but from the heart. This came from the policeman image.

"Why do you do this?" Came a reply from Darth, from his heart not his mouth. "This is such an intrusion and it is so bloody stupid! How many people are you going to catch at ten o'clock in the morning!"

"I do this, my lord, because I believe it saves lives. The more people intoxicated that you can frighten away from driving when drunk, the more lives this will save. That is what I believe." Came the reply from the officer.

"Yes, I agree with you - except you are an exception I think, most cops do this cause they enjoy control and domination over people, stopping them, pulling them over." Darth replied with his heart.

"That is probably true, but I am not one of them." Came the reply from the policeman.

This recollection of a true life incident faded. The image in the park became more visual. To Helen's astonishment, Darth was thrilled by what he had just witnessed, so much so he stood, then went to where the sister sat, knelt, took her hand, gave it a kiss, looked in her eyes flowing, "if I was not married already in the spirit, I would propose to you! You have found something I needed to know - how did you know?"

"I didn't." Lisa-1 smiled. "Give me a name you two. Jews give labels to their own. My faith reached deep into you, the man, and understood what you desired to know, and somehow that setting formed."

Helen reached and pulled her man back, sat him down, looking puzzled at him, then excused herself and took his hand and led him away some distance, turned to him, put her arms around him, gave him a kiss, flowing softly, "well...in a strict sense...I am your wife...I can give you permission to...to...well...even have sex in the spirit with another woman...is this what you would like me to do? Your fascination with that one is incredible."

"She is a Catholic Sister, I can sense this." Darth whispered to Helen. "A celibate with a solemn vow. May be easier for me to squeeze through the eye of a needle then to have sex with a Catholic Sister."

"Oh?" Helen blushed and glanced at the Sister sitting and smiling. As she did the Sister used her own mystery, locking Darth's will, lifting him in the spirit higher and higher until a new virtual reality formed. The mental imagery was made of small specks but so fine and so close together the setting seemed natural. In it the Sister in a field while Darth as a man on a path near that field. He imagined taking steps to her. She was squatting and tending to lilies in the field.

"What do you have to do with me, my lord?" She asked. "No man I know, not even the only Cardinal in the spirit I know, has your faith. This is the highest Catholic Faith Path there is, golden faith is required to find us. I sense you are not a Religious so how can you have faith through works? I repeat, what have you to do with me, my Lord?"

Darth walked carefully around her, watching what she was doing with the flowers. "You tend to the poor, the injured, the homeless? A Saint of Saints in my book. I am a Catholic, yes, but also a psychic of a certain kind. If need be, my people have the capacity to kill a million police officers across the world using our weapons. I need a Saint of Saints to guide me, should this arise and we need to use our mind technology weapons. Does this answer your question?"

"All right?" She smiled and stood, and took his hand, and together they walked to the path. On the path she stood by him and embraced him, like a lover might. "Yes, I accept, but what you are after is a Faith Marriage. This is a tradition only among lay Catholics, not the Religious such as I, priests, brothers, monks. However, it seems our lord is asking you and me to become a Faith Marriage to the Religious? That is how I read what you explained."

"Eh, but I am already married in the spirit of Truth to Helen." Darth replied.

"Bah, she is not a Catholic, she is a Jew. Jews don't use single mental images. She is likely to be a composite female image from a number of Jewish women. They will not miss you I am sure." She replied.

"Is that true?" Darth became puzzled.

The mental imagery folded and the setting in the park returned. Helen, aware of what had transpired, looked sheepish at her husband. "Is that true?" Darth asked. "You are not one single woman in ordinary life?"

"Well?" Helen turned on the spot, and walked about with hands clasped behind. "Trust the serpent to inform you of this. True, I am not, it is a woman's will we use. If we had a Truth Marriage, then I would be, but no, its a number of women together, we use the same imaged, sometimes you are with me, sometimes with another who looks the same, and you can't tell."

"Excuse me." Darth excused himself and took Helen's hand and dragged her some along the path. She was looking like a naughty school girl. Darth turned to her. "Explain to me then...when we make love...sexual love...during our interactions...this is any of the women?"

"No, certainly not, that would be blasphemy." Helen shook her head. "That is just me. I can give you permission to...make love...to another...but you can't do it without my blessing, that would be a betrayal of faith and trust."

Darth was satisfied by this response. Helen gave him a glare then walked to the seat and sat down. "Thanks so much Sister. He did not need to know that. And how do you know so much about Jews in the Spirit?"

"I know many mysteries. I have been a Sister since I was eleven. I was an orphan, and I was accepted as a Sister under oath but not in the eyes of the law until I was of age. During that time I had many experiences and visions in the spirit, including almost a narrative which explained to me in a dream how Jews in the spirit are organized. Can you give me a name? The name Mary is the most common in Catholic Faith Paths but I suspect I am going to interact with Jews more."

"Lisa-1." Helen shrugged. "I will name you this among us."

Helen walked down the path and took Darth's hand, with her other brushed back his hair, saying softly, "Wife? Catholic wife of the faith? A Faith Marriage? Sure you are not after a military general? The way she explained that, and the way she managed this interaction, makes me wonder what she is capable of when put to the test."

Helen walked back to the seat and made Darth seat down. "All right. By our laws, those of traditional Judaism, I, as his wife in the tradition, can allow my husband to have another wife in the spirit. I allow this now. Go on, you two have a honeymoon."

The mental imagery and the powerful Catholic experience faded. Darth forgot all about it - except in the nest few weeks he had these thought unusual for him. One day on the train to work he began to wonder what the "sacraments" were. After three weeks of this, Darth worked it out. When he interacted with Lisa-1 in that "golden faith" setting, a strong bond of faith formed between the two. It was this faith that caused what can be called telepathy but only at the subconscious level. Questions Lisa-1 had about "her man", and vice versa, actually flowed to one another but at the subconscious level.

A month later Lisa-1 and Darth again formed the Roman Catholic Sister. Lisa-1 was not old, around thirty, but she was highly intelligent and great at making sense of spiritual insights. She, in her Missionaries of Charity outfit, was sitting on that seat in this low level Catholic setting, this virtual or imaginary scene in the mind, and Darth imagined being with her, and she put her hand around his upper arm and leant against him, and used a soft flow, "all right...I accept this...with the help of a friend in the spirit who is one of our theologians, he and I concluded that Jesus is calling me and you to test a Faith Marriage among the Religious. I know, you are not a Religious in that sense, but that does not matter cause all such marriages are made to work by a woman of faith. So, let's talk seriously, By tradition, but this is a most sacred mystery, when a Faith Marriage commits, they have to tackle a hypothetical "ought we spend a weekend together in ordinary life like a husband and wife?" No one knows how this works out. Me and you would have to tackle this in the spirit first. Game?"

"To try and interest a Catholic Sister in sex?" Darth mused. "Surely that is for a fool?"

"Yes, but," Lisa-1 laughed, "a potential husband of the faith must have the courage to do this, at least in the spirit."

They walked together along this path, talking matters over. Lisa explained she was not a Missionary of Charity as such, but she did much the same work and was "approved" to wear their garment when in the spirit, as often as she wanted. As they so walked in the spirit, some mysteries of Catholic Life in the Spirit presented themselves. Some such mental imagery was beautiful and ever so elegant even when made of small compact dots. One image which Darth found especially super was when he imagined himself as a "Man of Sense" standing on a mountain, he in a dark outfit, only his own back could he see, and from his back to the ground a solid golden line - sense, golden sense. Not far from him a woman, in a dark speckled dress, pleated from the waist down, was walking about focusing on the Man of Sense. The image itself with a darkish hue in the background. As this image came and closed, it converted to a thought, a deep elegant thought, "when a woman of faith meets a man of sense, she ought to consider taking him as her husband."

The "husband" referred to a spiritual union. Darth and Lisa talked over how they might organize a "honeymoon". The result was a long, lasting for three days and nights, long interaction in the spirit. (But this seemed like years! It felt like they have known one another for years not months. So many unique settings did they use to test this too.) The imagery ever so close to ordinary life. This interaction was much like two people in ordinary life going about their affair. The result a story, in which they also included some "friends in the spirit" that Lisa-1 had introduced Darth to while in the spirit, and which Darth narrated and the first part went like this:

Darth's and Lisa's "honeymoon" - a set of extremely strong virtual reality interactions in the spirit, so strong if often felt like being in the setting as it was imagined.

The Taj Mahal was a luxury Hotel overlooking the ocean and the stone arch known as the Gateway to India. On the balcony of the expensive room Lisa recovered from jet lag, sipped cool drinks and watched the activity below in the plaza fronting the ocean. Lisa found the Indian city of Mumbai exhilarating. A mix of modern buildings and shanty towns; of clean streets or streets with garbage piled against the gutters; of a chaotic stream of cars many with old-fashioned appeal; of long streets with restaurants and abundance of street vendors - and people, people everywhere, and sometimes a cow standing on the footpath while people walked around it.

Lisa did not feel adventurous enough to explore the city much on her own and most of the time stayed in the Hotel. From her balcony there was always something happening in the plaza below: a Hindu priest arguing with tourists refusing to buy whatever it was, Lisa could not make that out, in his basket; newlyweds, so Lisa reasoned, posing for photographs by the Gateway to India; a tourist boat piling more and more tourists aboard - so much so Lisa was sure the boat would collapse; many stalls on one side selling trinkets that glittered in the Sun. Perhaps most of all Lisa was intrigued, and then alarmed, by young girls not much older than twelve wearing a pretty dress and approaching single male tourists.

A commotion in the street below. Lisa leant her head over the balcony. A black taxi had come around the corner much too fast and failed to avoid a man pushing a cart across the road. The cart laden with fruit, mainly apples. The cart was hit as the taxi came to a screeching halt. It toppled. The apples were rolling across the street. Many people coming, mostly children, to help the man retrieve his apples. The man had uprighted his cart but now that the taxi driver stepped out, the two were exchanging strong words. Was it English? Lisa was not sure. Some of the Indians she had come across spoke English but with such an accent and in such a way she wasn’t sure what they were saying. At the Hotel, on the other hand, the English the manager and the Hotel assistants spoke was very good and very clear.

A policeman appeared from nowhere and was with the two men, perhaps trying to work out who was at fault. Other cars had stopped, unable to steer around the cart in the middle of the road, their horns blaring. The policeman decided to help the man wheel his cart to the footpath on the other side, then stood in the middle of the road with an arm stretched out, in his mouth a whistle he was blowing, stopping the cars from trying to move while there were many children still on the road picking up and returning the apples to the cart.

Lisa had arrived in India two days before Darth was due to fly in. They had arranged to meet in Mumbai, India. From there they would travel to an area where there was a Catholic orphanage and meet Linda.

The Taj Mahal was an expensive Hotel but they both agreed a number of nights in this particular Hotel would not break their conservative budget, and because it was their "honeymoon" both felt they had a right to a touch of luxury.

As she sipped her cool drink she often glanced at her wristwatch. Not long now before she would have to leave for the airport. With each glance at the watch she became more nervous.

When the time was near Lisa showered and dressed. Prior to leaving her room she poured herself half a glass of ginger ale.

“I need a double.” She decided and filled the glass.

Lisa was on her way to the airport. The night was hot and the dry heat, or perhaps it was the pollution, gave the streetlights an eerie orange aura. From the window of the black taxi Lisa could see people everywhere. Lisa traveled at the back. They both had waited for this moment. It came unexpectedly. It had taken elaborate planning to arrange travel and spend two weeks together. In the past two months using telepathy at the will level, they discussed this ever so thoroughly. An opportunity had come along. While Darth's business was usually not doing well, now and then a larger deal took place. Suddenly Darth had the funds for both of them to travel to India, and he wired Lisa half of the money in that deal. Curiously, but neither read anything into this, the order for the medical software Darth developed and sold, which rarely sold really, had come from a Catholic Hospital in India whose head physician also expressed an interest in meeting Darth. They chose India because they wanted to meet Linda and Lola, and also Darth had arranged to meet a Dr Ivork with the view of possibly expanding his own business. How Lisa reacted surprised her - when she saw her bank account after the money had been transferred, a part of her wanted to send it right back; a part wanted to run away and hide; but deep inside she knew she would go through with it. And yet nights of turbulence followed - did she know what she was doing? Could she go through with this? It was one thing to consider oneself married in accordance with possibly a tradition of a Faith Marriage; it was one thing to interact using telepathy; but to go through in ordinary life with a consummation of such a marriage was another matter. Lisa's biggest heartache was her Vow. She was a celibate and her Vow included a vow of chastity. This Vow was ever so important but soon she might not be a virgin - how would she feel? Could she cope afterwards?

Questions, so many questions, plagued her even during the journey from Canada to Mumbai. No one in the world, except another Catholic Sister with a dedication and in this lovely but awkward position, could comprehend the inner conflict caused by that Vow and the planned "honeymoon". In the end, Lisa's decision to consent to the honeymoon was not because of tradition, and not because she felt right about it, but because she felt she owed the man that much after years of interacting at the will level as a "married" couple in their lifestyle - and Darth truly believed a consummation of a Faith Marriage was most proper and holy. In the right spirit Lisa believed this too, but on a more ordinary human level she had doubts. Such doubts were not so important now. Lisa knew full well that the woman in her had made up her mind. After so many years of interacting in the spirit and across the telepathic plane, Lisa had such deep affectionate feelings for Darth she doubted her Vow could block her determination.

From that moment so long ago now when they stood together in a telepathy setting of a church and said "I do", Lisa knew the time would come - even before Lisa said the "I do" she knew the time would come, and in her heart and spirit when she said "I do" she was also consenting to the consummation of the marriage. That was the truth - a truth in her mind, heart, and body. In that sense she had no excuse - she went into a Faith Marriage with eyes open and her heart desiring such a marriage. For a moment Lisa closed her eyes and trembled with deep respect for the man she would meet - in him faith so strong it made this possible, but in her at the moment hesitation and doubt. This might well be how the tradition worked - the woman so confident and so full of faith until after she opened up and began to talk about a weekend of love, then the faith leaves the woman and the faith in the man takes over. This was the terror for a woman, Lisa thought, when that faith hides for a time and reality sets in. To go through with this or not? This seemed a question so often on her mind of late.

From deep in her spirit she heard a gentle flow which her brain heard as a wee soft voice, "but I will remain the hands of our Lord, while you, my lovely one, will walk among the Faith Paths in the spirit, and Life in the Spirit groups, such groups need the strength of the spirit in you, the Holy Spirit, more than the humble poor who my hands feed." This flow, she knew, Darth also heard, and it was a flow from her to him, a special addition to their sacred and secret wedding vow. What Lisa valued, admired, believed in with all her heart, was the work Darth was doing with the psychics and Life in the Spirit groups – bringing them under the one umbrella of the “Holy Spirit”. An impossible to measure volume of obstacles had he overcame to achieve this. That in itself persuaded Lisa that the myths and legends of the psychics who called themselves the Natural Telepaths – were spot on! And in accordance with such legends, in Darth, only the third male first-born of their kind, was the Holy Spirit in a man. Her own Catholic belief system told her this style of thinking was to be avoided - Darth was a man, and a Catholic, and she a woman, and a Catholic, that was all that was important to consider - but she could not help herself and accepted Darth was a class of psychic too.

The airport was a fair distance. Relaxing in the back seat Lisa closed her eyes. How clearly could she recall that magical moment. After days of tribulation, of restless sleep, into her thoughts came such a strong vision. With the vision a sense of heaven, a sense of the divine, of absolute peace. In the vision she was dressed as a bride in white and sitting in a room, on the edge of a large bed. In her hand a red rose. A man, in a wedding suit, stood at the door. As the spirit overcame them, both heard a flow "welcome to the holy Roman Catholic tradition of a Faith Marriage." As the flow came, Lisa imagined tossing the red flower on the floor between herself and the man. It took over a year to work this out, what a Faith Marriage was and could it be so? A tradition of lay Catholics in the spirit. Lisa was not a lay Catholic - she was a Religious. This was unusual but it had not made the Faith Marriage any less sacred.

"Miss, are you a model?"

A voice with a heavy accent snapped Lisa out of her pondering. They had arrived at the airport. She shook her head at the question - was on the verge of admitting she was a Catholic Sister but stopped - and smiled and gave the driver as much money as he asked for, not mentioning this was three times the amount she paid two nights ago when she took a taxi from the airport to the Hotel.  She stepped out of the car and paused, looked at her long dark red dress and the sleeveless gray top, at the red semi-high heel shoes. The long dress was a touch too hot in the weather but it looked neat and clean and tidy. How did she look? The taxi driver had asked, "are you a model?" Lisa wondered if he implied prostitute? She rarely wore stylish clothes in her work and now, as she studied herself, she was not sure if she did not look more like a prostitute than an ordinary woman. Lisa brushed the thought away. Ordinarily she did not own much of a wardrobe, but after she paid her fare there was enough funds to purchase some dresses including a stylish black evening gown. At Darth's insistence she also purchased two golden wedding rings. They were plain, ordinary, and Darth did not insist she wear a ring when inconvenient but only when they used the will level settings and when they were together in India. When she purchased those wedding rings her heart leaped for joy - and she made up her mind once that wedding ring is placed on her finger by Darth, no matter how awkward the questions that may arise, Lisa was not going to take the wedding ring off.

Lisa took two steps and felt light-headed and became keenly aware of her heart palpitating. Nerves! She sat down on a seat and glanced at her wristwatch. An hour before Darth's flight was due - an hour before enchantment or disappointment. They still did not know what one another looked like and the images of themselves they used during telepathy were ideal, younger, and not clear enough to know for certain what the other looked like. Lisa opened her handbag and checked for a box. They were contraceptive pills she traveled far, while still in Canada, to purchase. She could not make sense of the instructions how to use the pills, but had taken one anyway. Was the pill having an undesirable effect? Lisa closed her handbag. What did it matter? Theirs was a marriage, a real marriage, just different, but in any marriage a child can be born. Lisa smiled at what she knew was Darth's view on the matter, his words he spoke at the time echoed in her mind, "but, love, we may be setting a new tradition, I believe a Catholic Priest and a Sister ought to marry...think of the world...think of how wonderful their children, in most cases, would grow...lights to the world. It is a crime in my book the Vatican does not encourage this sort of relationship among their religious - for in my heart a Priest and a Sister are special people, their souls lovely, in some cases divine, and offsprings from such a union would surely be an asset to the world."

Maybe Darth was right? Lisa went inside the airport complex and followed the signs to the arrivals lounge. She sat down in a red plastic chair, a white handbag on her lap, taking deep breaths. Dark thoughts came. They had accepted one another as husband and wife of the faith seven years ago. They were prepared to consummate such a marriage and spend two weeks together as husband and wife. They had spent such a long time talking this over. But they were both so young then really! All this is ever so fine in theory, but in practice, now that the hour was upon her, Lisa not only had cold feet but she was also questioning her own faith, commitment, and everything else that made her what she was - a celibate Catholic Sister. Also the basic fact of life, that he was a married man while she a celibate with a Vow, tugged at her conscience. Did she have a right to do this? Should she have agreed?  She shook these thoughts away by reminding herself that it takes two to consummate a Faith Marriage. In her mind on two occasions she saw herself standing and walking out of the airport. This was nerve wrecking! The most impossible experience to convey to anyone! This wait for a man whom in her belief system was the "husband" chosen to her by God - but also a man she never met and for whom she was taking a risk with something so special and sacred as her Holy Vow. Only God alone, Lisa thought, could comprehend the turbulence in her spirit and soul at this moment - perhaps a turbulence that was meant to be in order for her spirit to be more refined, to be more perfect in faith, in works, in holiness.

She was simply too nervous! Lisa decided to go for a short walk to dampen the nerves. She walked about, glancing at the shops. Not a smoker in ordinary life but suddenly a cigarette in a shop window looked ever so exciting! She went in, bought a packet and matches, and walked outside the airport and lit one. Inhaled deeply, choked and coughed, and threw it away in the rubbish bin. She sat down, wondering. Why did I do that for? Now I need to brush my teeth? And how do I know we will make love in the physical way? The traditional Faith Marriage consummation is a hypothetical. Two people are to arrange to meet in ordinary life and open up and then talk over why they should, or shouldn't, consummate their Holy Marriage by a weekend of love including sex. That's all very well for a lay married Catholic woman - but she was a virgin! That hypothetical did not make sense to her and neither did it to Darth, and the reason they had arranged for one room, both feeling that when they approach this hypothetical there was only one logical conclusion. A conclusion Lisa had prepared herself for - or had she? What was her heart telling her? That it was holy, that it was right, that it was not evil? On the other hand the human side of the coin was urging her to flee as far away as possible.

The public address system announced the landing of Qantas flight 123 from Sydney, Australia. Lisa made a sign of the cross and stood up, making sure her white handbag was with her, took deep breaths, and proceeded to where she knew she ought to be waiting. They had agreed to the clothes each would wear and other details. As Lisa looked over the few people who were waiting, she could see that she was the only one with a white handbag - hence Darth would easily spot her. Another agreed detail was a silver bracelet around her right wrist. That Lisa had purchased and was wearing.

Lisa also noticed she was the only Caucasian waiting hence all those elaborate details seemed rather pointless.

She saw the man approach - and instantly took to his physical looks - and in her heart desired that it was him - and somehow she knew it was - and it was! Darth spotted Lisa and came over. "Hi...I am looking for Lisa."

"Hi, that's me." Lisa smiled. "I don't know what to say." She felt ever so nervous.

Darth leant forward wanting to greet her with a kiss. He was aiming for her lips but she was not ready and turned her head so he ended up giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Let's sit and talk because I am so nervous. This is not like two lovers seeing one another for the first time. This is both a pain and a privilege." Lisa said and sat down on a plastic chair. "How do I look?"

"Lovely, not quite like I see you in my mind...much better actually." Darth replied. He had expected an ordinary looking woman. This woman was extremely attractive, around thirty years of age and her figure flawless, and her smile lovely and gentle, and that long skirt hinted that her legs were long and perhaps just as he had imagined them in their telepathy settings - and she was his, and his alone.

"I am so nervous...and I feel so stupid!" Lisa said. "I feel I owe you an apology for accepting that money and agreeing to this foolishness and oh...I don't know anymore!" She took a deep breath then leant her head against his shoulder much like she did in their telepathy settings. She realized what she had automatically done and straightened.

“Sorry." She said softly.

"Why are you sorry?" Darth spoke quietly and looked around to make sure no one could hear. "We booked the same Hotel room, we agreed to spend the two weeks together, to sleep in the same bed if need be. If you want to change your mind I suppose we could get another room and I could stay in one and you in the other. We can still be friends. We have two weeks to sightsee."

"No, no, but thank you for suggesting this." Lisa smiled, shook her head, took a deep breath, and placed her hand on his wrist. "I will cope...I do believe in our Faith Marriage...I just need to adjust...real-life is not the same as our imagination."

"Maybe there is such a tradition as a Faith Marriage, and maybe there is not, maybe you and I simply want to do this." Darth said.

"Yes," Lisa nodded with a smile, "and I do want to, very much, just give me some time."

They found it easy to talk - the feeling was much the same when they talked during their time together during their telepathy. ‘Catholic will level settings’, as they thought of such, was a mystical experience and ever so visual.

After half an hour of talking, it was Lisa who touched his lips with hers, saying softly, "it is true....I do love you...love at the will level equates with physical love so it seems. I guess I feel as nervous as any bride in white. At the same time, now that I know you more, I do not feel so reserved. Shall we catch a taxi to our Hotel?"

"Its not that much different for me." Darth said softly as they stood up, "you area a bride in white, but I am a groom in white in that sense. I only ever had one sexual partner, Anne, and this is a trying decision for me."

"I know." Lisa smiled as they walked together. "I am not being very sensitive to you. I am preoccupied with my own...own...purity."

They traveled in the back of the taxi. Lisa holding Darth's hand and making comments about some of the puzzling or different things they saw as the car moved along. Neither felt completely right holding one another's hand, but they knew they had to in order form a strong intimate bond as soon as possible. They made eye contact as often as they could; they tried to reassure one another with a smile or a tender touch.  It was Lisa who took the initiative, leaning very close, she turned his face toward her with her hand and they engaged in a long sensual kiss. Then touching delicately his face and looking longingly into his eyes she said ever so gently, "love, when your body and mine unites in the sexual way, the telepathic link between us will become absolute, like identical twins, and ours will be a marriage for life. I will always have control of the will level of our telepathy. No one will take you from my hand. There is no escape. Your trust and faith in me has to be absolute to go through with this. The faith in me is golden, the strongest known faith among the Religious. I am justified by my works, but you remain as you are, remain in the state you were called, walking among the Faith Paths, and in the end my works shall be enough to justify you and me."

"Don't sound so heavy." Darth tried to soften her words. A Faith Marriage by its very nature was "heavy". There was no other way anyone could look at this. The last thing the man in him wanted at the moment, was to once again be explained how “heavy” a commitment is was.

"I am a Catholic Sister." Lisa said. "I am heavy when it comes to faith. I can not change. This Faith Marriage is new to us, to our Life in the Spirit groups, and no one knows exactly how it is to work in ordinary life."

Darth leant and whispered. "You are a woman who is about to have sex with a married man. That's not what Catholic Sisters do. Don't confuse yourself. We could be wrong about this. Think clearly, think well, maybe we have fallen in love with one another and this has nothing to do with God or spirit or faith? If we are too continue our work, to walk in the spirit with those of our kind, be they Jew or Muslim of whatnot, let us not fool ourselves. Fine minds will spot if we lie to ourselves."

"Be a doubting Thomas if you want. My faith and commitment is sufficient for both of us." Lisa rebuked him gently and took out a white handkerchief from her handbag and wiped away a tear in her eye.

"Might be easier if you were not a Catholic Sister." Darth smiled, “a married Catholic woman who only ever had one sexual partner, would be in the same position as me. I would naturally understand her in many ways, as she would me.”

Lisa leant against him, "really? In truth, your obedience to the "do not commit adultery" commandment is so tough I do not believe any woman in the world could make you break it - only I, because of what I am, a virgin, and in your heart a Saint because of the work I do."

“That is possible. I had considered that.” Darth nodded.

At the Hotel Darth signed in. The man at the desk asked to see his passport but did not make a comment about the fact that they had booked the one room and yet their names, and countries of origin, were very different. In such a luxury Hotel as this, perhaps a reasonably common happening. A bag carrier was soon near them and carrying Darth's suitcase to their room. Darth, having obtained some Indian rupees before he boarded his Qantas flight, handed the man a note. The man looked positively pleased. Darth had not quite worked out the relative value of money. It was possible he had given the man ten times more than was the usual.

The room was large. In the center the prominent feature - a large double bed. Lisa walked to the balcony and parted black curtains. "Come and look...the ocean."

Darth came to the balcony. "Just like in the brochure I saw."

Lisa stepped closer to Darth, took his hand, "you are as nervous as me."

"I am." Darth nodded, "and how many men in the world could ever claim they made love to a celibate Catholic Sister?"

Lisa put her arms around his neck. "No, when we are together, I am not a Religious, I am just your wife in our way. I do love you. In the spirit I love you. This is our honeymoon and I guess I am as nervous as any bride in white might be – but -there is no turning back for us. We are mature adults...you and I...maybe we could make scientific history...telepathy, to the point where we met and compared notes, surely that is a scientific first."

"Who would believe us?" Darth replied, "and if any journalist seriously pursued the story, they might stumble onto our little secret. In fact, officially, what I wrote on my entry papers, I am actually staying at a Radio Club and not at the Taj Mahal."

"Where is that?" Lisa asked.

Darth leant over the balcony and pointed to his right, "over there, that unusual building in the distance, the white one, you can just see it from this angle. All the waiters who serve in the restaurant on that plaza in front of the Radio Club, live in shanty dwellings behind the restaurant. Sometimes you can see a rat scurry by. Hope you got your plague vaccination."

"Don't be mean, I am falling in love with India." Lisa smiled but made up her mind they would give that restaurant a miss. "How do you know all this?"

"Not much to do on the airplane." Darth replied. "And I had to stop myself thinking about this. So a few days ago I had acquired a map of Mumbai and a brochure, and even a booklet written by a tourist about Mumbai. I read them over and over, when the movie wasn’t shown, on the plane. There is a Museum I would like to visit, took my interest, can not recall the name just yet, it explains about...about...what were they called?...these large circular buildings into which the bodies of the dead used to be thrown in long ago...maybe not that long ago?"

On the balcony there were two seats around a small table. They sat down.

“Listen,” Lisa said, “I had to...and this was ever so embarrassing...back home I traveled fifty kilometers just to make sure no one knew me...and I bought contraceptive pills, over the counter, no prescription was required. Am using one now."

“You do realize that how I feel after, how I cope with...this particular act of faith...is your problem, not mine.” Darth replied.

“Yes, love, I will calm you, the negative thoughts will come to me, it will be up to me to balance you and I. Apparently, if the Faith Marriages Path is to be believed, our eyes will be opened in a different way...the matter will resolve itself.  For a little while there may be tribulations. If...at anytime in the future...as I explained in our will settings...you divorce from Anne...then if you want, I will marry you in ordinary life.”

“You would leave the church to do this?” Darth asked.

“Of course.”

“I may just want this to happen....I might choose a divorce from Anne to marry you. Life is short, why waste it?” Darth leant closer, kissed her.

“That's all right,” Lisa replied when she had a chance, “but I don't think so, I feel there will be no need - and who is going to find out?  You have a genuine business visa therefore you came here on business. I don't have anyone who will ask me why I chose to take a holiday in India. No one will know.”

“I and You will know the truth.”

“And the truth will set us free, of this I am certain and believe with all my heart.” Lisa gave him a kiss.

They talked for a long time, often holding each other's hand. The feeling they knew, the feeling of being married in a special way, was becoming strong. They talked about, comparing, their will level telepathy settings, especially those in which they talked over a Faith Marriage. If Lisa was a married woman, with children, this may have been easier for Darth - but she wasn't. Her reasons for wanting to consummate a marriage, Darth thought at first, may be simply mother nature forcing her to experience physical sex. It took Lisa many months to convince Darth this was most unlikely, and the nature of her Vow made certain this could not be her reason for a Faith Marriage. Eventually, Darth believed she was as sincere as any woman could be.  Even so, he prepared himself for any eventuality - what if, after their honeymoon, Lisa decided she also wanted to be his wife in ordinary life? There was nothing he wanted to do about it if she did, and perhaps nothing he could do because of the way their faith and will would be united. Darth also managed to reach deep for truth, until Lisa admitted to herself that she would not object to falling pregnant and having a child. She became ever so humbled and embarrassed when that truth flowed from her heart. Darth had to prepared himself for this eventuality too. Theirs was a marriage, a proper marriage, but different to what the norm was - but like in any marriage a wife can fall pregnant, and in principle Darth had no objections just reservations. In principle Lisa had no objections but her common sense told her it was the last thing she wanted.

Darth looked at his watch. "Ah..almost time for Dr Ivork to pick us up for dinner...he believes you are part of my company but have an office in Canada. Why do Indians have dinner so late? Almost time to go to sleep!"

"All right, I will shower and dress." Lisa stood up. "You can tell me how I am supposed to act and what kind of questions am I likely to be asked."

Darth also stood up. He was not letting go of Lisa's hand. She turned to him puzzled.

"Can I watch?" Darth asked.

"No, I need to go to the toilet too." Lisa replied, "and...and...give me some time, I am still trembling inside."

"To the toilet? Remember what we discussed once?" Darth said.

Lisa narrowed her eyes. During one of their telepathy discussions they had agreed that each would watch the other, once, when they used the toilet for a "number one." The idea was to build as much intimacy as possible given they would only have a short time together in ordinary life. As Lisa recalled this, she put her hand on her heart, "you don't mean...no...let's not do that, seems very peculiar...and so embarrassing."

"Come on, we agreed we would." Darth insisted.

"All right, but you do it first and I will watch." Lisa said hoping this would put him off the idea.  Darth shrugged and holding her hand went to the bathroom. Lisa stopped outside uncertain if she ought to do this, but then took a deep breath and consented.

Afterwards, Lisa showered and changed and sat next to him on the bed. "That was so embarrassing! I felt more naked than being naked. I felt so...so...," Lisa leant against him, touching his tie, "so married!"

"You took your evening dress into the bathroom, you didn't change in the room, you can not feel that married." Darth said.

Lisa smiled. "I was annoyed with you for insisting on that...that...you know...but as I was dressing I thought to myself I should have dressed in the room, that I was being very silly."

After they had spent so much time and loving it working on the theme of their honeymoon, the virtual reality imagery became more "spiritual", made of condensed white dots. Lisa and Darth began to struggle in the spirit, each now desiring more than ever to go through with this physical act of faith, at the same time as not being certain how righteous it would be before the Lord. That struggle in the depths of the spirit resulted in a strong sense of the divine that came over the man and woman in their respective homes. Darth, in his home in Australia, knew of a Catholic Sister who lived in an adjacent suburb. This was not Lisa-1, she lived in Canada, but now for some reason the spirit in him was exploding in his head, so it seemed, and instead of imagining Lisa-1 he was imagining this real house. Lisa-1 also had a similar experience which Darth did not know at the time - instead of imagining being with Darth, she was recalling a local priest that worked in her mission and her focus on him was becoming stronger. The tension continued, more and more, impossible to explain how much "holy tension" both were feeling in their head, so much so it felt like their heads would explode. Then, unexpectedly, an image of a baby in white, a long image stretching from Darth's physical house to the house of the Sister, and with the image an incomprehensible awakening that what Darth and Lisa-1 had done in fact, was to give birth to the Catholic Holy Spirit - not much different to how Joseph and Mary may have given birth to Jesus long ago, at first a holy concept, a spirit, that in time blended with a man and in time became the greatest religion the world has known. Two months later, when Helen was explained all of this, she was happy for both at one level, not so happy on another level because now it was clear Darth had two wives in the spirit of equal standing before the Lord.
