Religion of the Rich, Chapter 1

The intention of this novel is to convey the nature and techniques of advanced telepathy.

Attributed to the Holy Spirit (the Soul of God) in Allah (the Eternal One as the Natural Telepaths view this).

Now and then when the combined Life in the Spirit group was active, a flash of a Scientology hall. No one among them knew anything about what Scientology was about hence the telepathy channels could not form in "faith" and "in the right spirit" very easily. But one one man managed to imagine interacting with them, the group assigned him a task - workout the framework of the religion of the rich.

An animal by its nature bows to a superior animal. Human beings with "animal mindsets" did much the same - they bowed to the "superior". This could be understood as a form of religion - but what where its pillars?

Clearly, building "shrines" to the super rich, state funerals, propagating myths and legends about them, this was all part of such a religion. The economic theory used by all countries advocated shortage of money and jobs in order to ensure money maintained a high value - this mainly for the benefit of the very wealthy and rich of course. Myths to do with such concepts as the "American Dream" or "work ethic" were all part of a dedication and commitment to the religion of the rich.

Like any religion, a man or woman need not be rich to be an advocate of such a religion. The poorest of people could be an advocate of the religion, maintaining the rich had an ethical and moral right to their wealth. This was a form of insanity of course - what poor person who is rational would have any like for any rich person?

Slowly Adrain became a useful member of the Combined Life in the Spirit, and his personal "mission" only to work out the religion of the super rich. The super-rich were defined as anyone with more than $5 million in assets, or any politician in a major portfolio. Since almost all Life in the Spirit groups consisted of very ordinary people, barely managing to maintain their mortgages or payments for shelter, this amount was felt completely out of proportion to truth.

While the religion of the rich was much the same everywhere, the most important structure to understand was in Australia because ultimately it was on the legal-police system in this country that the Natural Telepaths opened fire with their mind technology weapons. An important question that also had to be answered was to what extent the "thugs with guns", as the psychics referred to police, actually cooperated with the religion of the rich, or were they simply men and women who were paid well and that was the reason they were police, or where they men and women with a unique psychological profile that compelled the person to want everyone to conform to rules and codes of behavior. The psychic community could never understand what drove any person to become a police officer - to put a gun by their side, to become a member of a large powerful organization, and dedicated their life to protecting the rich from poor - that in truth was the ultimate role of the police. To psychics, such people were either "simple" or an example of "true evil".

The main reason Adrian was chosen for this was because it became clear he had at some time worked for the Treasury in Canberra, Australia. Telepathy with Adrian was not particular clear or useful at first, just images swapped between people, This was adequate to establish a basic form of in the spirit communication.

Sandra, by this time more than content with being Darth's wife and already privately forming "will level" signals and techniques that would enable both to "look each other" over in ordinary life, also promised Adrian on Lana's behalf that if he is a "good boy" in this mission, she would find him an Islamic (or Catholic) wife of the faith. Fortunately the reality of what such a marriage was and might involve usually did not hit a person for years, so Adrian gladly accepted her offer.

Darth had insisted on an important point. Anytime Adrian turned his attention to a particular individual, and into his head popped an image of memory of a wealthy man climbing a tree to see Jesus walking past, Adrian was to ignore than person and focus on someone else. Also, whenever Adrian saw in his mind, or recalled, Jesus overturning the tables of the money changers in the Temple in Jerusalem, this was an important point and whatever thought he had at the time ought to fit into the framework of the religion he was to map out for the Natural Telepaths.

There were two important reasons for this. The Combined Life in the Spirit group wanted to understand clearly what was essential in any economic framework and what was there to ensure the religion of the rich prevails over common sense. The other reason was that the Natural Telepaths, a great many, felt that using their mind weapons in the way it was done some 2000 years ago against a Roman legion, was what was required in Australia as a consequence of the ongoing psychic war. They calculated 10,000 police officers hit by a mind weapon, instant death, would be the correct "retaliation" and the world would stop and understand no other court anywhere dare threaten a psychic with their "idiot laws". As there was so much "aghast" thoughts at this, the psychics wanted to find a way to explain their formula that came up with that figure. Of course, it was only a minority who insisted on this form of retaliation, but this minority had a strong case.
