Strength

Chapter 4, Reducing Awareness

The intention of this novel is to convey the nature and techniques of advanced telepathy.

I was with Moses.

From the Natural Telepaths own version of the Gospels, attributed to the Holy Spirit in the Spirit of Law.

Not long after Mary the Quaker child became their latest telepathic daughter, Helen felt it was time to put an end to Darth and Mary having taken a considerable liking to one another and often discussing and cursing the legal systems especially in Australia.

Using her strong will, she forced both Darth and Mary to "behave". She formed a night setting outside Darth's physical house. Imagery life-like. She sat in a grey top and long skirt on a bench, made Darth sit next to her, in a white t-shirt and shorts, and Mary in her black dress with the white apron-like front was made to sit on the grass by the seat.

"Listen you two", Helen said, "telepathy and spirituality is the domain of the right hand side of the brain. But human activity is usually the domain of the left, even law is the domain of the left. The human brain needs to be balanced in order to be productive and be seen to be intelligent."

Mary, focusing well and looking about, pointed to a Christmas tree which was well lit. "Nice Christmas tree dad."

"Never mind that", Helen said, "you both are people...are intelligent human beings...in Life in the Spirit you are both like angels and respected...but you are also human beings."

"Yes, mum", Mary stood up and sat herself down next to her father on the long seat.

"Don't say that like I am telling you off", Helen said, "I am trying to teach you a certain discipline...how to behave properly when in a court of law, or before those who have human authority over you."

"Mum!", Mary snapped, "dad is a Natural Telepath psychic...he could kill with his thoughts! Who on Earth has authority over him?"

"Your father is a civilized human being", Helen replied, "and we are people of God and peace is our desire, not war, not violence, not aggression. We try to resolve differences using common sense and reason."

"Bah!", Mary exclaimed and crossed her arms and looked away.

Helen stood up and took Mary's hand and took her aside, "listen, miss, you are new as my daughter...you don't know me well enough to be so brave when I am not in a good mood...I asked you to hear me out, I expect you to respect me enough to do this."

"Sorry, mum", Mary replied after glancing at Darth.

When they sat down again Darth said to Mary, "as it is written, Wisdom is justified by her deeds...we have to listen to her...she does speak wisdom in such matters."

Mary leant against Darth, snuggling into his side. At age fourteen she was tall, perhaps only a head shorter than Darth and Helen. Seeing the two, sensing the strong bond already between this telepathic and in the spirit father and daughter, Helen was moved and took Darth inside the house, closed the outside door, put her arms around him, gave him a kiss, rubbed her nose against his, "love...she is a daughter after your own likeness, in your own image...it took me so much effort to make you conform to a civilized world, which it is in many countries, and it may take me a long time to make Mary conform. I want your support, not your smart-alec wit please."

"We have a case, a real case, from an Australian court, which can demonstrate corruption and stupidity to perhaps anyone", Darth replied.

"You have one case", Helen replied, "only one case proven beyond doubt. The Australian Magistrates and Judges and Barristers are not stupid, their favor system is corruption but its not something police can ever prove, it is not something that a jury can be satisfied about beyond a doubt...so a $10,000 bribe is so obvious...yes, to the intelligent educated person, not to others. One case can always be called an "isolated incident". What I need to know is what you want to do about it...you are not a man who focuses on just one thing, you prefer many things to focus on, you may loose interest in this case...it would be a shame, we have a chance at something unique and special with this case."

"A chance at what?", Darth asked.

"Ah, got your interest", Helen smiled as she opened the door and they went outside taking their seats.

Even though they had tried to be private in the house, Mary did hear the conversation. As Helen took her seat again and put a white handbag on her lap, Mary leant to her, "mum...while I accept that in the spirit there are a number of women I feel are like a mother to me...from what I just heard, you are my telepathic father's wife."

Helen leant forward to look at Mary, "yes, I am, but accept Lisa-1 and Lana as equal to me. I have to prove myself, such is the Law of Moses in the spirit. I may claim to be your father's wife in the spirit", Helen pointed at Darth, "and I have the "in the spirit" children to prove it, but I also have to prove it in a practical manner. Lisa-1 had to prove it, she has not failed but neither did she completely succeed. Same with Lana. In the end, only one woman is the wife of the faith, but in the spirit the will of many women can combine together - and my will is often as one with Lisa-1, and Lana."

"I don't really understand the telepathy technique involved", Mary said.

"You are a touch too young", Helen replied as she opened and looked into her handbag, "you will in time, especially after you give birth in ordinary life to your first child, then you will understand the mystery the women of faith use in the way they blend their will."

Mary looked at Darth and shrugged, "all right, I will wait until then to understand this completely."

"What did you say before?", Darth asked Helen, "what did you have in mind with our one court case?"

Mary sat down at their feet again, intently studying Helen. Helen smiled at her, touched Mary's nose with her finger, "you are interested also? What do you plan to be when adult - a lawyer?"

"I am a Quaker", Mary pointed to herself, "and my people do not take oaths...I could not be a lawyer...but I can get special permission to take an oath of a medical doctor and am thinking along those lines."

"Are you sure?", Darth asked.

"I think so, yes", Mary replied less confidently.

"Are you sure you want to be a doctor?", Darth said, "unless you are a top specialist you will not earn that much money...and the stress can be terrible...and the hours can be long...you might be better off being a hairdresser."

Mary stood up and sat by him, her hands neatly in her lap, she studying him, "dad, are you hinting I am not smart enough to be a doctor?"

"I am wondering if you are smart enough to be a hairdresser instead of a doctor", Darth replied.

Mary frowned, narrowed her eyes, then imagined making a small fist and hit him gently on his arm, "stop it...you are confusing me...that's not funny."

She sat down again, after giving Darth a look he considered somewhat "sexy" - a throw of the head and hair in a certain way, a look he was not sure what it suggested.

Helen waited patiently, allowing daughter to settle her feelings, and spoke. "What I have in mind is to give the case to the newspapers. Prepare a report, a proper one, with all the facts. Sooner or later a reporter will be found who will take an interest."

"Reporters and newspaper editors are all worried about defamation suits", Darth replied, "and interested in sensualism, not reality...I can not see this working too well."

"It is worth a try, is it not?", Helen asked, "the facts are, I believe, beyond dispute. The $10,000 bribe is bloody obvious to almost anyone who studies the whole case."

"One Magistrate wrote a court order because he got paid $10,000 to do so?", Mary asked.

"In 2005 and 2005, Two Magistrates competed for that prize", Darth replied, "the third one I am not sure about, and the reason I left his name out of complaints to the official corruption bodies in Australia - but these bodies are "house trained", their task and mission and dedication to squash any suggestion of corruption at the Local Court levels. The only exception is a body known as the ICAC, but they have very limited jurisdiction as to what constitutes corruption. They can not touch the favor systems in place between Magistrates and Judges and some law firms, because it is not defined in their terms of reference."

"So this is useless then", Mary threw her arms up as she looked at Helen.

"No, it is not", Darth stood up and walked to a table and sat at a chair.

Mary followed his movements, sensing something "weird" in the way this took place. Helen smiled and leant and explained to Mary, "this is Jewish Life in the Spirit, those who have faith in another person, can as if entwine or blend with that person, then they separate - watch."

Mary watched and a man seemed to step out of the image of Darth and sat himself down in the next seat, half facing Darth and half facing Helen. The man wore a blue suit and a tie.

"Australia is not republic", the lawyer flowed smoothly, "the Constitution is about protecting the power of the few, of the Parliament, not the rights of the people. The court system is fixed so only the lower courts are affordable to ordinary people...the Supreme and High Courts are sometimes but not often, in my opinion, wrong and stupid about a matter, but they are not corrupt - but neither can the majority afford the expense of bringing matters to such courts."

"I suppose I could prepare a report", Darth muttered, "but that is so time consuming to do it properly."

"Perhaps no need", the lawyer glanced at Helen, "we have the Internet and a technique of letting millions if need be knowing our web pages...perhaps these will suffice."

Mary stood up and sat next to Helen, leant against her, placed her hand on her leg, "mum, dad is not into lawyers...why does he like that man? I sense he is a lawyer...I sense my father likes him."

Helen took Mary's hand delicately of her leg and placed it on her own and replied, "your father admires Jewish and Islamic lawyers who are party to Life in the Spirit. Such men have ethics, morals, values, natural sense of justice, and are simply trustworthy."

"I understand", Mary nodded, "why did you take my hand of your leg? You think I am...am...what is the word?"

Helen put a finger on Mary's lips, stopping her saying the word she was searching for, and gave her a kiss on the forehead, "no, sweets, but we are not alone, a man is with us, he might not see the vision in his thoughts as crystal clear as you and me, he might assume you are much older than you are and my lover if you do that, not my daughter. Simple house rules help coordinate Jewish telepathy style."

"I see", Mary replied and nodded and focused on the lawyer, "do you have a name?"

"Yes", the lawyer mused, "and it is a rather...Jewish name...I don't like it myself much...it is in fact Moses."

"That's funny!", Mary exclaimed and covered her mouth with her hand to stop herself giggling.

"Another thing", Helen said, "notice I do not have my legs crossed? In Jewish telepathy, a woman crosses her legs in a setting if she does not want anything to do with sexual telepathy...a simple precaution...you are rather attractive and your age not easy to tell, you might want to consider this too. In this case I do not need to because I have my legal husband", Helen pointed to Darth, "with me, and Moses is also married with a legitimate wife, this I know, so confusion is not likely to arise. In Jewish Life in the Spirit, we have a legal system and a legal marriage...Jewish Life in the Spirit is a dual lifestyle, and a woman has a right to a husband in ordinary life and one in the spirit...and a man likewise...and you will go through that system to become a legitimate daughter to me and Darth...you already are, sweets, but the Jews in the spirit use their own tradition."

"I understand", Mary looked at Helen, "you are a complicated people."

"Oh yes", Helen lifted her eyes to the night stars, thinking how complicated and advanced Jewish Life in the Spirit groups actually were. Then she also explained to Mary, "but in Life in the Spirit I am a Catholic...so will you be...by tradition, in the spirit, a woman becomes a wife of the man's faith...my husband", she pointed at Darth, "is a Catholic so I became one in the spirit, and you also will."

"That's all right", Mary nodded, "I don't feel there is much of a conflict at being a Quaker in ordinary life and a Catholic in the spirit."

"None at all", Helen replied and turned to the lawyer, "so you think the Internet is the best way of explaining the matter to those who are interested?"

"But how?", Darth jumped in, "how do we name Magistrates who in our opinion are corrupt? Like J Betty from Blacktown Local Court."

"Not sure", the lawyer replied.

"Or G Johnson from Parramatta Local Court", Darth continued, "this one admitted before a packed court that he knew the danger he was placing an old woman in by signing a court order but "I don't care" was his response. In a rational world a Magistrate like that would get a bullet in his head from family members rather quickly."

"Or many Magistrates from Campbelltown court", Darth continued, "who appear to have this favor system in place with large local firms like Marsdens. A person asks Marsdens to wait a month or so to get paid and they ignore and rush off to the local court demanding a hearing - this I presume to get themselves between $3000 and $5000 in legal costs awarded, and I wonder how much of that goes directly to the Magistrate and by what "business" technique does it arrive and how."

Darth stood up, paced about, then turned to Helen, "all right, you convinced me, let us not let go."

Mary, as well as the lawyer, were rather amused by this turn of events.

"You are funny, dad", Mary laughed softly.

"And wicked", Helen raised an eyebrow, "wicked beyond what a human being can understand when it comes to revenge."

Moses faded out of the setting after glancing at his wristwatch. They all went inside. The imagery very strong, very life-like. Mary inspected Darth's physical house forming very strong impressions of the inside.

Helen had sat in the lounge room and next to Darth on the sofa, she placed her white handbag by her feet and leant against Darth, her hand around his upper arm.

"And your house, mum?", Mary asked as she finished inspecting the house and came to the lounge room, and imagined switching the television on.

"You know my house, it is our number 1 telepathy setting", Helen replied and projected into Mary's mind the inside of the house setting she was becoming familiar with.

Helen had tossed red high heel shoes aside and had made herself comfortable, putting her rather long shapely legs to the side and on the sofa - and the reason Mary could not sit with them but chose a chair.

Mary imagined watching television, then turned to Darth and Helen both studying their new telepathic and "in the spirit" daughter. "Mum, dad, this is boring, like being at home with mum and dad and having nothing to do but to watch television."

She reached for the remote control, turned the television off, and came and sat neatly with legs tucked to the side by the sofa, "can we imagine some more? Ancient Jerusalem? I like that."

"No, you are tired, and the left side of your brain needs to recover", Helen replied, "later, in a few weeks, when you adjust to your new skills using deep telepathy, then we can come online again. In a strict sense you are my daughter - but I would like you and me to also be friends."

"Gladly", Mary said as she lifted slightly and put her hand to Helen, the two shaking it.

Helen, unable to stop herself, turned to Darth and buried her head in his shoulder, flowing privately, "she is a delight but she is funny."

"So you are the proper wife in the spirit?", Mary asked.

Helen stood up and sat crossed legged on the carpet, Mary also sat in this way now, and Helen took both Mary's hands, "I will teach you how to coordinate will, that is a special mystery, between you, me, your father, and your telepathic sisters...not Jim or Adam or Jar...they are boys and boys must learn on their own...but they do ask their sisters to assist so do help if you are asked, after I teach you how. In answer to your question...am I the proper wife? Well...this is complicated...technically in the spirit your telepathic father has three wives...but God is trustworthy, I feel and believe...from the beginning I was with your father, our journey in the spirit began together. I thought he was a Jew at first, natural for a Jewish woman to think this, only later did I work out he was a Catholic...and we had some", she glanced at Darth, "differences of opinion about Judaism and Catholicism...then we fell in love and forgot the differences and married in the tradition. Also, and this is the critical bit as far as your father is concerned...his Eternal One, that part of God he adores and loves beyond measure...told him long ago to do the right thing by me...it took me a long time to work out what the right thing by me was...I am not completely certain yet what that is...a part of me feels the right thing to do is to accept and acknowledge me as the only wife...on the other hand our earthly life is short in relative terms...and this arrangement of one man and three wives has worked very well and helped many Life in the Spirit groups...so...I think...at this point in time...the right thing to do by me is to keep the status quo, I one wife, Lisa-1 and Lana the other two wives. Bonnie, Li, who else?", she glanced at Darth for a moment, "and one or two others, are honorary wives in a sense and they certainly don't use...sex...unless they get permission from the three of us, and can interest your father in such a thing, that is not that easy in the spirit...I speak about such matters to you as an adult because I sense you are very mature."

"Sex is important in Life in the Spirit?", Mary asked.

"Not really", Helen mused, "it is something that brings about a spiritual birth quicker and with less pain, I don't know why that is, a mystery, and it is something two consenting adults can find pleasurable and rewarding and it does help to refine stronger telepathy channels. But it is not critical or essential, not even particularly important in Life in the Spirit. Only a female can cause sexual telepathy, given a man is willing to respond, so the responsibility in this regard is much more on a woman. Know your limits...as you use strong feminine flows a natural sensuality can arise in you...stop using such when you feel this, or consider carefully if you are willing to cause sexual imagery if you continue."

Mary glanced at Darth, frowned, flowed strongly, "dad, would you mind closing your eyes when I and mum are talking female matters?"

"Sorry", Darth replied and put his hands over his ears, in so doing signalling his brain to block the telepathy from the two.

After a while Mary stood up and took Darth's hand away from his ears, "its all right now dad'.

She sat down again and asked Helen softly, "mum, what is it like to be married to the first-born of the Natural Telepaths?"

"Sometimes it feels holy", Helen reflected, "sometimes it is horror beyond horror because of the lifts of awareness his mind is capable of...but most of the time it it an honor." Helen glanced at Darth and rested her head on his legs.

A knock on the front door, Helen and Mary rose and Helen went to the front door and opened it. It was a telepathy technique, the knock on the front door. Rather than "barging in" on people using house settings, a knock on the door was a preferrable way. Helen let an old Rabbi in, who took his cap of. She introduced him to Mary and then said to Mary, "let us leave the men to talk...come with me, help with than basket of unironed clothes I saw in the family room."

Mary followed, pretending to walk exactly as she might in her own house. In the family room Helen began to take clothes out of the basked, folding these, asking Mary to assist.

"Why do we need to do this?", Mary asked as she folded a shirt, "this is just imaginary."

Helen sat down on the sofa, a folded light towel around her hands. "Well...in ordinary life I have a daughter, not your age but a daughter...she helps me like this with washing and ironing...it is important for me to feel you are as much my child as my own physical daughter...so when I do this with my daughter in my house, I set my will to feel I am with you sometimes, talking to you."

"I understand", Mary sat down, "that's clever. What is father and the Rabbi talking about?"

"The Natural Telepaths mind technology", Helen mused as she stood up, "the legal issue in Australia did not warrant activation of their mind technology, it was just a boast, but there is a concern their simulation actually triggered it. Their problem, not of our concern. Just in case it did work, your father talked a passionate Rabbi to have a special "police only" Life in the Spirit group to catch any Australian police whose thoughts begin to spiral into the telepathy plane, and then either teach them how to block the effect or teach them how to use the skill."

Mary felt a sensation, and within moments she imagined being in a different house standing before a woman neatly dressed, lovely looking, with a silve cross on her lapel. Mary had only briefly interacted with Lisa-1.

Mary looked about the house but the imagery faint. Lisa-1 took of her cross and placed it on the table, saying, "hi...unlike Jewish and Islamic Life in the Spirit, the Catholics need to know beyond doubt you are a real child, a real fourteen year old. So, let me use my mystery to reach deep faith. At the same time, we set our will by clapping hands in alternate ways, its a technique to teach the brain to respond to certain visual images."

Time passed, perhaps an hour. Mary felt an intense force around her, and in her heart a deep conviction her visions had something to do with God and were not her imagination. Then she saw a lovely cartoon like artistry in her head - a slight slope, faint lines drawn in places and like path leading from a black circle to an image of a man on a cross on a hill. Lisa-1 in the magic imagery was a small cartoon character with a white shirt and loong red skirt, and Mary imagined herself as a small cartoon character standing inside the borders forming a path leading to the hill. Lisa-1 next to her, flowing, "wow...not I know you are a real person...religion aside...faith aside...you are a human being, so am I, so are all of us, and we need to use some basic common sense to restrore our natural balance - the way we think and feel - after such deep religious experiences, or telepathic experiences. For some reason, this particular image helps do that - so maintain it in your head until you feel you are completely...completely...free of doubt as to what you have experienced and imagined."

"But, mum", Mary flowed, "I have this special spirit of divinity in me...Helen feels that is what it is...and I know the difference."

"Yes, you might, but others might not, and we all use the same mental imagery", Lisa-1 explained as she imagined sitting neatly in this image.

"I understand", Mary understood quickly and also sat down, "for the sake of others I shall be a doubting Thomas for a while."

"Personally, in my opinion, the Apostle Thomas was a perfect example of all of us - not sure why his name is used in vain", Lisa-1 mused as they sat quietly in this virtual image in their head.

Before the vision faded Lisa-1 explained, "yours is a complicated spiritual birth, or awakening, because you do have three legitimate mothers in the spirit - Helen, myself, and Lana - for other young ones it is not that complicated an experience."

"How can three women love one man?", Mary asked when the image of Lisa-1 physical house formed, "but then I feel like I like all my three mothers in the spirit - more so, I feel like I love you." She came closer and put her arms around Lisa-1's waist, and Lisa-1 stroked her hair as Mary snuggled in this manner.

"I don't know but they can", Lisa-1 replied, "I suppose the love between Helen and Darth is the strongest - but how do you measure true love? My feelings for him are deep, as his for me...this is true of Lana also. On the other hand, the faith is strongest between myself and Darth...on the other hand, submission to God is strongest between Lana and Darth."

"Actually, that makes sense to me", Mary looked up with a content gleam in her eyes.
