The intention of this novel is to convey
the nature and techniques of advanced telepathy.
From the Natural Telepaths own version of the Gospels, attributed to the Holy Spirit. |
In a setting of a bedroom Darth
was laying on his back while Melanie lay next to him on her stomach. Both
fully clothed. The vision strong, ever so colorful, and serene, a sense of
ideal. Melanie was flowing a sensual flow which made Darth want to change
the image so she was laying on her back and he perhaps undoing the buttons
of her shirt. But Melianie blocked that, instead turned sideways to him and
flowed, "I know you are curious...but...you see me naked once the fantasy
passes...let's talk about our ideal life first...life in the spirit...the
Witness Way. What do you wish for in our relationship?"
Melanie turned sideways to him,
her head resting on her hand.
"In the spirit? Or in ordinary
life?", Darth asked.
"In the spirit", Melanie replied,
"I can not for the life of me, from what I understand, any woman in the world
other than Helen ever forming a proper Faith Marriage with you. She would
not let any woman, not even Lana, stand in her way, that's what I think."
"It is lovely", Darth replied,
"to document nicely what the Witness Life in the Spirit is like. Ideal family
life, an ideal haven of a kind. But, it would be nicer if we could document
in such a way that a person reading such documentation, could begin ascending
the divine and find a Life in the Spirit."
"That's professionally", Melanie
said, "and I agree...but I meant personally."
Darth turned sideways to her and
caressed her cheek, flowing in a wicked way, "sex, sex, and more sex."
"With nine or more wives in the
spirit", Melanie laughed softly, "I don't accept that seriously. That's the
one thing you are unlikely to be short off...in the spirit that is."
"Okay", Darth laid on his back
again and crossed his arms, looking at the ceiling, thinking carefully, "friendship."
"Okay", she leant and gave him
a kiss, her long hair brushing against his face, "and I want love."
"Love?", Darth asked.
"Yes, love", she gave him a kiss,
"when I am with you in the spirit...I don't want to know about your other
wives of the faith...or any complications to do with them...I want your focus
on me alone...to you, I alone will exist...I want to be your word, your pride,
your delight."
"Bloody ambitious!", Darth muttered,
reading much more into her thoughts that Melanie might have intended.
Melanie leant her head against
his side, flowing, "I will prove....have proved...my good intentions...indeed,
our potential as a group...the Witnesses might be fewer than some of the
larger denominations or religions but we work for a living...in good faith...in
the right spirit...none of us are perfect but then we are only human, the
workers of the word. As Jesus said, the good news is to be preached to the
world before he comes again...that is what Witnesses do."
"But you also have some ridiculous
ideas", Darth turned to her. By "you" he implied the Jehovah's Witnesses.
"They are not ridiculous", Melanie
protested, "just based on a certain point of view."
"Some of these can be most useful",
Darth said then said slowly, "but you are so difficult to make love to properly."
"Am I?", Melanie snuggled closer
to him, "because I am forcing the left hand side of your brain to accept
a basic creed that the Witnesses use? That is what makes it possible to feel
the strength of our will...you almost feel like you are touching me...because
my will binds your left brain...and this in accordance with the laws I set
aside for me personally...laws that the Wtinesses use as their belief system...such
as....abstain from blood...the name of God is Jehovah...Jesus was not born
in December as others claim...and so on. Each to suit themselves. Every belief
system has their creed and their chaplains. Does it make any difference how
wrong a position or point of view might be? It is the human brain that has
to adapt to Life in the Spirit, not the spirit, the spirit has to be born
from the brain in the first instance. That's how I understand it."
"Yes, you are right", Darth replied,
"you could invent any plausible belief system, based on any number of sayings
attributed to Jesus or the Apostles, and come up with a complete framework.
In that sense, you are building on a foundation of belief. From that, like
a set of stepping stones, the brain can learn to work in such a way that
caues birth to the spirit."
"But?", she asked as she reached
with her hand and those ever so elegant lady fingers began to undo the top
button of his shirt.
"But...the simplest belief system..is
probably the easiest", Darth said, "I am not persuaded the Witnesses have
a particularly simple belief system."
"That's true", she said ever so
softly as she lifted her head and gave him a kiss, "and you were so keen
before...what changed your mind?....now that I am opening up - why are you
not trying to undoe my shirt?"
"Maybe because", Darth moved his
hand to her button, "I might find such exquisite breasts my other wives will
become jealous."
"One way to find out", she smiled
as she touched his lips.
The spirit would sometimes force
itself upon them, and with it came fantastic artistic imagery. A spiritual
image had a distinct view when seen in the mind's eye, and feel, but sometimes
a complete sequence might be caused and the persons in such a virtual reality
world of the mind simply responded as naturally as people might in such situations.
As the imagery began they saw themselves
riding horses through a forest, along a slightly winding and not very wide
dirt path. Its borders regularly marked by stones. Night time setting and
a sense of tiredness. Darth as a man in dark perhaps black trousers and white
shirt, an open black jacket, a cowboy like hat. In front of him Helen, holding
to him as they rode, she heavily pregnant. She wore a dark blue and light
blue gown, the colors came down in wide bands. Her longish blond hair caught
the moonlight. She was tired, it was a difficult pregnancy.
Behind them on a horse Lisa-1,
in white shirt and long red dress. She also wore a hat, a Spanish style to
the hat (so the sense felt, the hat itself not so visual). Then most of their
telepathic children on horses, with Lana in a long dark gown, kind of old-fashioned,
rode last keeping an eye on the children.
They rode like this for some time,
past a brook, moonlight shining on it, then into a forest clearing. A hut,
rather crooked and old, came into view. Darth rode his horse to it, carefully
jumped off then took Helen of, held her, walked up a few steps to the hut
and kicked the door. In a corner he saw straw tied together to form a bed.
He rested her on this, carefully. She gave him a kiss as she fell into their
type of swiftly moving sleep with its unique and distinct faint imagery.
Darth came outside again, stood
on a porch then imagined climbing on his horse again, patting the stallion.
Lisa and Lana had organized the children. The younger ones were with Lana
around a fire. Chi, the five year old in a white top and knee long dark skirt,
was sitting in Lana's lap. Sharla, the seven year old in a long satin dress,
was leaning against Lana. Nicole and Stephanie sat around the fire with Lisa
and Sara. Stephanie wore her usual golden but modern style dress, Nicole
her white dress with green and red flowers, Lisa her usual pale yellow kind
of old-fashioned dress, and Sara a white shirt and a long dark skirt, the
skirt when she stood went down to half way her lower legs.
Lisa-1 was introducing the older
girls - Elisha, Rebecca, Amanda, Ami, Jarah-2 - to the rosary and explaining
how she personally used the bead of strings with a cross on them.
"Mum, do you make father say more
prayers?", Elisha asked.
"I am not allowed to", Lisa-1 replied,
"the Catholic women in the Marriages Faith Path decided I was called to be
a wife to a man, in our way, not a spiritual advisor. I would like to, yes,
but he will not listen because he knows what the decision from our type of
court was - the court I refer to was a circle of mostly ordinary Catholic
women of faith in the spirit.
Darth rode his horse to this circle
of fire, stopped near Lisa-1 who looked up. He leant, flowed gently, "I will
listen if it is that important to you."
"No, love, it is not particularly
important", she shook her head, "and go and see who the two strangers are."
She pointed to a part of the forest
where a man and a woman stood still. The woman in a long dark blue gown,
the man in a grey suit with a tie. Darth could sense both were Jehovah Witnesses
who from time to time had interacted, poorly usually, with the combined Life
in the Spirit group.
Lana was telling the girls, by
recalling some of her personal memories, how she and Darth met and fell in
love and married. The girls liked to hear such stories. Chi was becoming
restless.
"Let's imagine some food", Lana
said, "you two, Nicole and Stephanie, go and find some marshmallows and bring
them back and we find some sticks and cook the marshmallows."
"This is a forest, mum", Stephanie
said.
"It is a magical forest", Lana
leant and flowed ever so nicely in a loving and sweet way, "imagine what
you will."
"Great, that's fun", Stephanie
jumped up and she and Nicole rushed off.
Lisa decided she will find a gingerbread
house and bring some ginger "biscuits" back.
As Darth imagined riding the two
strangers, a crooked figure of a man blocked his path. His horse leapt in
fright, for a moment standing with two feet high in the air. When the horse
settled, Darth leant and flowed to the old man, "stay with us, until I make
the Earth a footstool under your feet."
Lisa who was rushing past covered
her mouth as she heard her father say this and looked at Sara who had joined
her on the hunt for a gingerbread house.
The old crooked man nodded, then
turned and walked carefully to the side, fading into the darkness of the
setting.
Darth continued but Lisa-1 called
him back, and he turned and joined her by the hut. They went inside, Lisa-1
closing the door and holding his hand and they rested on another bed of straw.
A light from a fire outside shone on Helen's face turned sideways as she
slept. "Isn't she beautiful", Darth said so gently while Lisa-1 was laying
against him. She glanced up, "yes, but I am so jealous sometimes of her...i
am your wife...yes...but God can be cruel...why her and not me? Why can't
I consummate a marriage of the faith in ordinary life. Everything points
to her being the chosen one."
"You can, I will not stop you,
you are my wife", Darth said, "but I suspect the reason is our combined Life
in the Spirit group is to be a Faith Marriages Path - as distinct from a Catholic
Faith Marriages Path."
"I agree, and I consent to her
trying", Lisa-1 said as she settled and rested her pretty head on his chest,
"but deep down I hope she fails...sorry...I am only human...but I will not
be an obstacle in any way to Helen. I now believe, dear, this style of marriage,
one man and two or more women, is a perfect solution to so many more women
than men in Life in the Spirit. It works, a woman can share a husband, I
do not mind, Lana has no concept of how to mind, and Helen is still adjusting
but she is getting more and more...in favor...of the principle."
Lisa-1 was Darth's Catholic wife
of the faith, bound by the Holy Spirit to him. As a wife of the faith, her
responsibility to balance any marriage she accepted as valid - such as Darth's
ordinary life marriage to Anne. This was the usual way of a Catholic Faith
Marriage and relatively trivial - but in Darth's case he had a legal Jewish
wife in the Jewish Life in the Spirit, and a legal wife in the new Islamic
Faith Path. Lisa-1 had considerable difficulty thinking this through. In
the final analysis, a Catholic couple who accepted a Faith Marriage accepted
one another as the more important wife or husband - the only wife or husband
in fact, their existing physical relationships were best left as they are.
The spirit and flesh did not mix easily. Lisa-1 could ask Darth to separate
from any of his other "wives", be it Anne, Helen, or Lana. And he would not
hesitate, that she knew, just as he could ask her to leave the church and
she would not hesitate. The power of a Catholic Faith Marriage was strong.
In that sense, she was the only wife who ultimately could make some serious
decisions on behalf of herself and her husband.
Lisa-1 stood up, dragged Darth
up who was beginning to "doze off" their way, and the two walked out to their
horses and rode to the new man and woman standing on the edge of the clearing,
around them a "cartoon" like "ideal" imagery.
Not far away another couple stood
now, the woman giving the man a red flower.
"Listen", Lisa-1 said to the four,
"the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak...a Faith Marriage is not a
game...it not romance...it is a duty, in my opinion, of all those called
to the Lord's supper. You four, if you so want to, if you so consent, will
taste a whip of a Catholic pit....taste this once, and a woman does not want
to seriously argue with her husband, or a husband with his wife...a Faith
Marriage is a life long journey in the faith, in the spirit. Sacrifices may
be called upon. Any Catholic who opts for a Faith Marriage ultimately understands
the passion of Jesus. Faith Marriages are not for cowards. The golden rule
to survive a Catholic pit is that you four are virgins in the sense of never
committing adultery in your life. If this is so, no problem, the pit is horror
but you recover - else you loose your interest in religion forever."
"We are both Jehovah Witnesses",
the woman in dark blue replied and pointed to the man who stood like a bridegroom
with his hand through the woman's arm.
"I am a Jew, so is he", the woman
who was a new couple pointed to her man-friend, "Sara can vouch that is what
we are but we prefer not to explain anything else about us."
Sara was back at the fire. She
turned, sensed both were Jews, and nodded. Nicole was the first to find white
marshmallows and now she and Stephanie were imagining skewing them on a long
stick. Lisa was coming back with a basket from the forest.
Lana had called Elisha over who
sat neatly while Lana was explaining, "you need to understand some adult
facts. A woman can get pregnant, we all know that. In Life in the Spirit
there is an equivalent of pregnancy and it can happen anytime. You Elisha
get embarrassed when Helen, myself, and Lisa-1, fall pregnant at the same
time. Sorry, we feel a touch stupid too, but there is nothing any of us can
do about it. Now that Li might become a fourth wife, you best sort this out
in your heart."
Elisha gave Lana a hug and a kiss,
"yes, mum, I love you, and I do understand."
Lisa-1, after explaining more to
the two new couples, gave the "go ahead". Darth rode his horse around the
Jehovah Witnesses couple, flowing in a majestic way, "Love one another...be
truthful to one another...work to remove superstition from your belief system...let
the woman decide how to explore a path of love, let the man reconcile in
faith and in the right spirit any flaws in such an exploration...my Holy
Spirit flows from me to you now...binds you in two transitions of life as
husband and wife...the first transition is your Faith Marriage...the second
you will experience after bodily death of both of you...after that transition
you can decide how to spend some of eternity or whether you prefer to be
like angels in heaven...but that is playtime, such wondering, only on your
allowed Sabbath...the rest of the time you work for the Lord your God. By
my will, so you are bound."
For a moment a frightening effect
- an absolute black vastness stretching in the mind of both and then a white
mist like eruption from the epicenter stretching from one end to the other,
inside the fine white powder like substance the words in brilliant white
"Holy Spirit".
Darth rode to the other couple,
and around them as he flowed using a more "divine" flow, "I am the Lord your
God...from my hand none escape...look after the Australian Jewish community
who have been separated from the world wide Jewish Life in the Spirit networks...in
truth you both are...in faith you both see with your eye of faith...you are
both highly intelligent and the Australian Jewish community needs a couple
of intelligent guides. By my will, so you are bound."
Again the same effect of the vastness
and then the white mist.
Jarah-2 had turned and listen and
watched. She came to Lana, sat down, laid a white flower at Lana's feet,
"Lana...I do want to be part of this family, very much, ever so much...but
Helen and Darth as my telepathic parents frighten me because I sense in them
absolute authority of a kind I do not understand...but as long as you accept
being my mother in the spirit, I would love to learn and imitate Jarah who
is busy nowadays and rarely interacts with her family."
"Yes, dear", Lana smiled and tossed
a red flower across the white one, "and I will prove this to you using the
traditional Islamic technique."
Darth leant to the man and woman
Jehovah Witnesses, "I am tires, my wives are tired, the spirit is annoying
sometimes and brings you into its realm without much regard for how tired
a person is...so while I and Lisa-1 rests in that hut, entertain us with
some images from the cover of some of your magazines such as Watchtower...always
enjoyed the cover, felt it conveyed a sense of Life in the Spirit, a kind
of ideal life in many ways."
Darth and Lisa-1 turned their horses
around. As they imagined riding past the first fire, Stephanie stood up and
lifted her arms. Lisa-1 leant and picked her up. The three rode to the hut.
As they dismounted the horses Darth mused to Lisa-1, "snatched a child just
like that? I would love to see you do that in real life."
"I love horse riding", Lisa-1 replied,
"and regularly used to...I could possibly do it...maybe."
They went inside. Helen still in
that surreal-dream like state. Lisa-1 and Darth laid on their straw mattress
with Stephanie settling between them, sitting, and imagining a magazine in
her hands, and focusing on the cover of Watchtower magazine.
"But, father", Stephanie said as
she opened the magazine, "I sense in you that you don't like the articles
much....that is not fair...my mother, in ordinary life, says they are usually
excellent."
"They are so simple", Darth replied,
"I know, I know, they are intended to be simple to cover most readers, educated
and the uneducated, but I hate getting into an article and not finding the
depth I expect from the presentation."
Stephanie had listened but did
not understand the reply. She turned to Lisa-1. "What did dad say?"
"He said he...likes a more difficult
stories", Lisa-1 was not sure what to say.
Stephanie imagined resting her
head on a straw pillow, and bent her legs and rested the magazine on her
lap and against her legs. "No, in that case, I will read this article, I
can read, I am nine, and will explain to you what I feel is important."
"If you insist, sweetheart", Darth
muttered.
Lisa-1 turned her head to the side
so Stephanie could not catch her amusement - she too found Stephanie's desire
a touch entertaining.
Stephanie, much more astute than
Lisa-1 or Darth had given her credit, flowed nicely to Darth, "father...I
know what you object to...that blood thing...so does my mother in ordinary
life, personally I don't claim to understand it...but that is the only thing
you object to...and that is not much by your standards."
"That's true", Lisa-1 was resting
with hands behind her head, "when your telepathic father first came across
Jewish Holy Ways he found a few thousand objections - and yet fell in love
with them. It is a question of understanding."
The two Jehovah Witnesses, who
decided on their names among them were to be Wendy and Chris, came and sat
by the fire with Lana. Lana was holding little Chi. They asked Lana some
questions about a Catholic Faith Marriage.
"It is a simple concept", Lana
replied, "and there is a mystical link between two women. Thus the wife of
the faith becomes as one, when need be, with the wife of the flesh. For example,
say I and Darth are a proper Catholic Faith Marriage. Say in ordinary life
my husband is called Jim and Darth's wife Anne. When I and my husband consummate
a Faith Marriage by opening up and running the traditional hypothetical,
I become the dominant wife - but a wife of the faith is two women, so Anne
is my equal in every sense of the word but through a mystery. Two women the
one wife of the faith. Lisa-1 is an exception, perhaps the only one in history,
because she is not married in ordinary life and is a celibate - or was, never
too clear to anyone if those two had not actually consummated their Faith
Marriage the proper way also - but never mind gossip - because she is different,
she needs another woman and not Anne to be the second part of the wife of
the faith, with Helen more and more looking like a better choice than Sandra
who was my suggestion, and Sandra is interested."
